I'm Lurie Daniel Favors, author, activist, attorney, and the host of the Lurie Daniel Favors show on Sirius XM's Urban View, Channel 126. If you like what you're about to hear, go ahead and give us five stars and then tell everybody that you know. And if you don't like it, just, child, keep it to yourself and pray our strength. Okay, thank you so much. Also, don't forget to check out my YouTube page, Lurie Daniel Favor's Media, where you should subscribe, like, and share because then you'll get notified when I post videos from my show, which I do just about every single day and when I go live with my YouTube audience. any of that, we have a ritual on this show that we employ every single day. Because frankly,

1:01.3

when you are talking about stories in Black Talklandia, it can be heavy work. It can. Any of you

1:06.4

who listen to this show for any length of time, you understand why Dr. Carr has described it

1:10.4

as all shot, no chaser. Because we are quick. We got to get it in any length of time. You understand why Dr. Carr has described it as all shot,

to work. But basically, we have this ritual that we use to allow us to do the heavy work of Black

curate those emotions because we know both from lived experience and scientific confirmation

1:37.8

that when, for example, you are rooted in gratitude, you cannot also be trapped by fear.

1:43.6

Right. And right now, I need us to be liberated from our fears.

1:46.4

I need us to be fully embracive of our power and not allowing the fears, which are real, to have the

final say. And so this ritual, which is called, again, a moment of gratitude. It's pretty simple,

1:57.7

so simple. In fact, it goes a little something like this.

2:05.1

Hit it! In just a minute, you're going to hear music. That music is going to be an invitation to you to join the rest of us, as we will collectively begin taking the slowest, the deepest,

2:09.8

and most lung capacity expanding, joyful heart invigorating, troubled mind cleansing, and weary,

2:14.3

so uplifting the most amazingly juicy breath.

2:23.0

As we kick off our most important segment of every single day, it is time for our moment of gratitude.

2:54.9

Thank you. Every day, folks, every day we got to do it and every day we got to do it and every day it matters.

2:55.8

Shout out to the team.
