Hi, everyone. It's your best friend, Sarah. You know, when I was in New York, my mom's

best friend came to see the bedwetter, the musical that I've been working on. And it was

so great to see her. She's 80. She helped raise me really. She moved in with my mom when my

parents got divorced and really means a lot to me. And she is 80. And she came out finally,

30 years ago when she was 50. And we were all so happy for her. But here it is 30 years later.

And she just breaks my heart in that she isn't never lived. Even though she came out to her friends,

she never lived it. She's still riddled with shame. I mean, you know, we were, she came into town.

I went to her hotel room and she came with a couple of young friends. She's a teacher and she

came with some other teachers that are much younger than her. And she had a hotel room and then

next to her was their hotel room, a couple. And we were lying in her bed, catching up, you know,

talking. And it was so good to see her. And I said, you know, you need like, you know, you

should, you could find someone. You could find like a wonderful companion, you know. And I

signed her up like right then and there to our time. And she's like, oh, I know. I don't know.

I mean, there's no one for me. And I said, there are, you know, there are 80-year-old lesbians out

there. And she goes, they're right through the wall. And she was horrified that her friends

that she drove up from New Hampshire with might hear the word lesbian. I said, I don't know

what's your name, but I was just like, what are you? Well, she goes, you can't find me up for that.

What if the school sees? I'll get fired. I don't know if it's the times we're living in that she's

right, like in many states that is happening. But I was just so heartbroken that at 80, she has

so much shame around just being who she is. It broke my heart. I said, I, how could you still be?

There is an app. I said, there is absolutely no part of you that you should be ashamed of.
