I think we've all been there at some point. Yeah, that is exactly what happened to me the other day

And it was with famous rapper Benzino, which this has been a storyline that has somewhat played out right here on the

Bird show some time ago. I don't know if you guys remember, but a long time ago

Benzino was traveling on tour with a basketball group who was then called and one

They were a big deal at the time and they would go from arena arena and showcase like really fancy basketball moves in different places

At that time I was one of the more popular battle rappers in Denver, Colorado

And and one was coming to the Pepsi Center, which is where the nuggets play

So what I didn't know at that time was there was like a scam that they were running

Where they were trying to promote they being Benzino and the source because he used to work for the source magazine

They were trying to promote their own artists

But they were pretending as if this artist was like a random person that they pulled from the crowd at every arena

And they would have this person battle rap battle against locals at every arena

But the locals would never win because this guy was really good

So fast forward to the point they get to Denver now they don't know me

I wasn't even scheduled to be in this rat battle

I don't know anything that's going on

But one of my friends basically long story short forces me to get on the stage and I end up battling

And so now they had me battle at halftime

They were like we're going to battle the guy at halftime for two rounds

So I'm thinking okay, this is cool
