Right now we're starting a series that will be a verse by verse study of 1st Peter,

and I want to take just a moment to offer a disclaimer in this

message I'm about to talk about Bethel Church in Reading, California and a guy

named Bill Johnson. I mentioned several concerns I have with this particular ministry and among them I mentioned something called grave soaking.

It's an odd practice which I'll explain later in the teaching.

Now when I recorded this message, everything I said was accurate and it was up to date

but a few months after this message Bill Johnson went on an interview where he

repudiated the practice of grave soaking at least he sort of repudiated it. You can listen to that

interview if you like. It was with Dr. Michael Brown on the program of the

line of fire, which is available online. I think that him repudiating grave

soaking is a really good thing and I want to

acknowledge it. Now I do continue to have serious concerns of Bill Johnson and I

have more content on him and Bethel on Bible thinker.org but I just want to be

open and honest with you and keep my teaching pure.

So this practice was endorsed by Bill at the time I originally taught this message

but it no longer is.

However, all of the other issues I mentioned still remain and even more issues which I again

cover on Bible thinker.org. All right that's the disclaimer sorry for such a long
