Jennifer is an attorney focusing on legal issues related to emerging and disruptive vehicle technologies at Bus

alone, which is a law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We talked to Jennifer about

cybersecurity, the cyber regulatory landscape, consumer data protection, and connected cars.

We also spoke with her about autonomous vehicles and even her mobility law class at the University of Detroit Mercy.

But first, big news as we record this podcast.

Yes, Leslie, it's been a very busy day for us on the

shift team here. We learned that North America's largest

supplier, Magna International, has closed a deal

with the electric vehicle maker Fisker

to supply the vehicle platform and build the company's

ocean SUV. Now Fisker is merging with a special purpose acquisition company Spartan Energy

Acquisition Corp and it said it had finalized the deal with Magna which is

headquartered in Canada to build this ocean SUV in Europe.

Of course we know Magna being such a major supplier, this isn't their only foray into the future of mobility or even their only interest in providing vehicle platforms.

Magna also has a tentative deal to build vehicles for EV startup canoe holdings.

So lots in their pipeline and actually I spoke to Swami Kotegegeiri who's president of Magna

and we've actually had him as a guest on the

podcast as well but he told me that Fisker you know had an appealing design
