Following Wednesday's deadly shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota,

Hennepin EMS Chief Martin Shear acknowledged, quote, unrecognized heroes, such as teachers,

law enforcement, and students.

I might be saying too much, but we had one kid that covered up another kid and took a shotgun

blast to his back and things like that.

And they were helping each other out.

Two children ages 8 and 10 were killed.

15 other children and three parishioners in their 80s were injured.

Hennepin Healthcare Clinic is treating nine patients. Doctors are pleading for blood donations

amid a statewide shortage. Meanwhile, investigators believe the 23-year-old shooter who is dead

likely intended to carry out yesterday's attack from inside the church, if doors hadn't been locked,

once mass began. Sources say the 23-year-old shooter visited the church weeks ago

under the pretext of wanting to reconnect with the Catholic faith at the school,

which the shooter once attended.

Investigators believe the shooter was able to create a detailed drawing of the inside of the church,

which was shown in a YouTube video the shooter had set to publish around the time the attack began.
