Welcome to the Monday minute of the Hunt's Backcountry Podcast. These are shorter and more informal

episodes where we answer listener questions, joined as usual by Steve, and we are exactly a week out from leaving for Alaska.

That puts a smile on my face.

Spend some time this weekend getting packed up probably 75% of the way just China I think we're going to shoot

Wednesday do a video in the shop of what's in my pack for this hunt and I'll have the rafts included,

break everything down. So trying to get tonight, tomorrow night to get 100% packed up, a few things left to do.

But, and then ramp it up the I do what I usually do and I kind of I'll give myself a four or five day break going into the hunt but that seven days prior to the first big hunt of the year I really ramp up and start doing

right now I've been doing two a day, so mountain biking and hiking every day and then throwing in a little bit of weightlifting and I am plenty sore this morning but I'd rather get that out of the way now than then be sore on the hunt.

Yeah, it's going to be quite a week to get there. Lots going on. It's just going to be great to hit that plane, get in the air, and then just be in the wild Alaska.

So we're excited to obviously do that hunt,

but to share more with you.

recent questions that came through the email. A lot of times with a Monday minute, it's like, yeah,

they're short or more informed episodes, but I usually have them pre-planned a bit

with the questions and today I'm just pulling up listener questions that came through the email.

Most are related to recent experience project content,

and we can just answer those, Steve. This first one is interesting to me. Last week we had the

shelter and sleep system podcast released. I had some good questions on that on YouTube etc that we've answered but I'm just

going to go ahead and read this email as Gowarden said I'm planning on a

Caribou drop camp hunt in Alaska and I'm looking very strongly at the catabatic
