Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd Gas.

Well, cue the names, turn on the big lights, it's finally happening.

We are in the middle of the midterms and it is for real this time, no false start of just

sort of Texas order.

We had a big night last night.

We had primary contests for Pennsylvania Senate, Governor, Markey House Primary in North Carolina,

Senate, Senate race, it turned out to be kind of a dud, but we thought it would be competitive,

some important races in Idaho and Oregon.

Hey, even Kentucky had some primary.

So to set the scene, we're recording this late morning on Wednesday, May 18th.

At this point, we have results in many of the races.

We're still waiting for the Republican Senate primary race in Pennsylvania where Dr. Oz is

leading by a couple thousand votes.

We don't know if we'll get the final result until Friday at the soonest and you know,

they end up in a recount there, if the count the male ballots, we'll see if everybody believes

the numbers are accurate when all is said and done by guest today are Nathan Gonzalez,

editor and publisher of Inside Elections.
