Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

Hope you're able to wear Maroon today. Isn't it great that we live in a country? We can celebrate Maroon Friday as we choose. A little bit earlier today. It's graduation day for Audrey Robertson. I i can hardly wait got a lot of family coming into town

so i'm doing my best to get all this taken care of uh you know gets the show done so we can

have some family time you know and uh i don't do a lot of that i wish i did more of it but sometimes

sometimes duty calls but uh this is a situation here where we're celebrating Audrey graduating for Mississippi State and computer engineering.

And I can tell you she has had a remarkable experience at Mississippi State.

Real quickly, before I move forward with the show, of all of my children, Audrey was probably the most reluctant to attend Mississippi Stick because she grew up on to be a golden girl at LSU. I mean, she grew up in Baton Rouge. She was born in Baton Rouge. Spent most of her schooling in Baton Rouge, moved to Starville High School. And just one day, you know, she thought she's going to go to southern miss

thought she wanted to get out away from family and kind of get on her own a little bit and one day

she came home from church and she said you know i just thank god wants me at mississippi state and she cried

and got all emotional and i said well let's get it. And now she can't imagine have gone to school anywhere

else. And at some point, she'll probably go back and get her master's, whether she does it online or not.

But as I told you guys, for a degree in computer engineering, never saw that coming. But we're very,

very, very proud. Very proud of Audrey, without a doubt. I'm proud of all my kids, but today is her day.

Today is her graduation day. And I'll sit in Humphrey Coliseum and do my best to restrain my

emotions as she walks across that stage. And so very happy. And again, congratulations to everyone

else, all the families that are having, you know, a graduate of Mississippi State and really anywhere else.

It is an important thing in life to be able to get your college degree.
