Welcome guys and gals to the man talk show. I'm Connor Beaton. And today we're going to talk about the

0:05.5

biggest time management mistake that people make. And this is something that I see a lot.

0:10.7

I work with a lot of executives, a lot of entrepreneurs, a lot of people who have very little time and

0:17.3

very little time to make mistakes with. And so they are always looking for the

0:21.6

edge. How do I manage my time better? That's one of the questions that I hear a lot. And the reality is

0:28.5

is that when people want to manage their time, what they are actually saying is how do I manage my

0:35.8

priorities? And usually how they are doing this, usually how they're

0:39.8

trying to manage their time, is by more effective or more efficient scheduling. Now, you can

0:46.8

have a great schedule. You can work really closely with your schedule and you can plan out your days

0:52.1

and you can schedule in your meetings and your

0:55.1

sales conversations and dropping the kids off at daycare and the you know the whole thing you can

1:00.5

plan all of those things out and still feel like you have piss poor time management now why is

1:07.4

that because the reality is that when most people are trying to manage their time,

1:13.1

they are looking at it from a scarcity mindset. So the first thing that we need to know about

1:19.5

shifting our relationship with having better time management is actually our relationship

1:25.9

to time itself. Now, time is a very analogous

1:30.3

thing. It's a very analogous concept. So the biggest thing, one of the most important things that I want

1:35.2

you to know right at the gates is to ask yourself, what is my relationship to time? And this is very much

1:42.0

like an exercise that you might do when it comes to money and finances.

1:45.9

What's your relationship to money? Well, maybe you have a great relationship with money.

1:50.0

Maybe you think that money is great. Maybe it's something that brings you joy because you can

1:54.8

buy things that, you know, allow you to have great experiences and create, create memories.
