Hello, and welcome to a special bonus episode of the well. Of course, I am Dylan Bowman, and I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving holiday weekend,

if slightly less festive than usual.

But for your turkey trot or your weekend errands, I figured I would share a little bonus episode with you this week.

That is a conversation with an old friend and personal inspiration of mine, Mike Alfred.

Mike is a successful entrepreneur and a dedicated athlete and ultra runner himself who's currently

training for the Western States 100 in

2021. In his professional life, Mike is currently the co-founder and CEO of a company called Digital Assets Data,

and he was previously the co-founder and CEO of a company called Brightscope, which was acquired

in 2016 for $30 million.

And in this conversation, we discussed Mike's history as an entrepreneur and as an athlete,

the highs and lows of business and sport, making investments, taking risks, the state of the markets, cryptocurrency,

the sale of his business, and a lot more. So obviously, this is not the normal ultra-content,

but these episodes are some of my favorite to record. And the parallel to sport for me is just so obvious and so fun to explore.

And yeah, I mean, if it were up to me, I guess I'd have a daily radio show where I could talk about all this stuff, you know, business, sports, politics, culture, um, as I just see so much value

and in learning from successful people from across the spectrum of our society, like Mike.

Mike is a wealth of knowledge.

I'm super, super grateful for his time and willingness to share his expertise with us here on the podcast.
