I've learned in my life that there's not many things that stress me out more than money.

If I'm financially sustaining, I have far less stress in my life.

So for me, ensuring that I'm profitable and actually making money is one way to detach from business.

If I have a project that's going south or if I underbid a project and I'm not making money,

it stresses me out when I'm on the job, it stresses me out when I'm off the job. It stresses me out when I'm away with my

family, when I'm sitting on the couch, so I'm trying to lay in bed while I'm trying to sleep. Every

aspect of my life is consumed by bleeding money on that project.

So, number one for me is to ensure that I am profitable.

Happy Halloween everyone. At this point, Halloween's most likely over for you.

You're probably sitting on the couch or laying in bed with empty

candy wrappers strewn about your stomach and waist belt exploding from

indulging and overindulging in your kids candy sneaking their

licorish and snickers and skittles and wondering why you just couldn't stop

eating all of that crap, you know contemplating contemplating life and what it means and just overall feeling like

crap.

Listen, the good thing is, it's only the beginning of that.

From here on out, it's Thanksgiving and then Christmas, Hanukkah, all of the holiday season where you get to just overindulge and wonder what you're doing with your life and let the seasonal depression start to kick in. Couple that with the Phillies losing

two games in a row at home to not make it to the World Series and that's where I currently stand.

I'll get over it. Today's going to be tough. It's Halloween. The family

costume this year are old school Phillies fans. Selby's dressed up to the fanatic Tilly as a Phillies cheerleader.
