Welcome in to the Lakersnation.com podcast. It is the fun Friday edition.

So we go a little bit early on Fridays and we kick off the weekend. So welcome in.

Anybody who is joining us live via YouTube, via Facebook, via Twitter, for you seeing plenty of comments that are coming in.

do hit that subscribe button. A lot of stuff to talk about today. We are kind of in the calm

before the storm right now around the NBA. You can sense it as players and teams. They're

starting to get ready for training camp, which is coming up. probably going to be about a week from Monday, I would imagine. We'll start to see training camp really come about. In fact, I imagine that's probably about when we'll see Media Day as well, nothing official on that just yet. But we'll have Media Day coming up in just over a week. I would imagine that we're going to have training camp going on. And eventually the Lakers will take the floor again, October 3rd. The first game of preseason kicks off. We are just a few weeks away, just over two weeks away from the Lakers actually being back on the floor. Can't wait. But again, right now we're kind of in that calm before the storm. Still some trade rumbings out there. Hear it a little bit about the Utah Jazz and the Lakers. Are they still talking? What could that ultimately turn into? I'm still expecting the roster to be as is for training camp and for preseason and into the regular season. And then we'll see what they can do from there. As I always say, that it takes one phone call to trade to change negotiations in the NBA.

For the moment, it's going to be just me.

We'll have some people jumping on from Lakers Nation in just a bit.

much their ceiling as like the sixth seed in the Western Conference right now. That's not necessarily all about the Lakers. A lot of that's about the Western Conference. It's going to be extremely difficult. You know what's funny, though, is I see the Eastern Conference guys, which you can usually tell, right? You can tell just by reading tweets and the things they say and okay maybe with their accent a little bit

as well but you can tell which guys are based on the east coast and which guys are based on
