I'm John Batcher with Thaddeus Macata, recovering politician, writing in American greatness in human events,

commenting on the Michigan political canvas, especially from the Republican point of view,

a disappointment in the 2022 election, especially at the state level, the governor's race and lieutenant governor attorney general.

We now turn to breaking news that, if said, to be surprised to the Democrats,

Senator Debbie Stabenow will not seek re-election in 2024, the longtime Michigan Democrat said Thursday,

opening up a Senate seat in a key-sync swing state.

Inspired by a new generation of leaders, said the Senator, I've decided to pass the torch in the U.S. Senate.

I'm announcing today that I will not seek re-election and will leave the U.S. Senate the end of my term, January 3rd, 2025.

That is your right in the middle of this story, watching the Republican Party in Michigan, which behaved disappointingly in the 2022 election.

Is there a possibility this peace-wing state could bring that Senate seat into play, or is it going to be more disappointment?

Thanks, John. Well, first, I think that I wish Senator Stabenow much success, and she transitions to a new chapter.

She always represented the state with the corp, dignity, and diligence, and she protected a promoted interest of the state and her people, as she perceived them.

So I would think that it's going to be especially, the seniority is going to be a large loss for Michigan.

We've always been rather successful, lucky in the Senate with individuals such as Senator Hart back in the day, Senator Cara Levin, obviously.

They generally have, stay there relatively long period of time, get seniority, and actually wield a lot of clout.
