Summary

This week joining the RunPod run club is someone who loves her fitness, Michelle Heaton. The last year has been particularly challenging for Michelle, as she revealed she’s been battling alcohol addiction and that she needed to seek professional help. She did get help and is now almost 9 months sober. This also means that she’s been able to get back to running which is something she has always loved. In this episode Michelle shares her experiences of running and how important something as simple as going for a run or heading to the gym are key in her recovery. She shares her story in the hope that anyone else in a similar situation can see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Jenni and Michelle also discuss the impact of early menopause on fitness and how you can tailor your workout for your body. It’s a hugely inspiring episode and also there are some great tips and suggestions for you if you’re out pounding the pavement while you listen. Happy running!
