But I am a faithful Jew. To me, the Meshach is yet to come. And that's not the focus of my life.

So I do, so for me, Judaism gave me an opportunity to focus my energy in different

ways. And the great thing about it is, though, going into Judaism and being a Hebrew school

teacher as someone who was Christian, I'm able to do some healing between the communities.

Because I think there's a lot of suspicion and a lot of like animosity. And I think

a lot of people don't understand how the other side believes and thinks. And I'm just like, no,

no, no, this is to put it in a framework. But also even using phrases like the black church,

I have to explain people that the black church could be the N-O-I. The black church could be

people as witnesses. The black church is a phrase that we've coined to talk about the black

experience with spirit. Right. And it's ecumenical. So having people understand that you will

see things and hear things in me that I can't purge because I grew up with

a grandma from Alabama, grandma from Virginia, granddad from South Carolina.

You will always, I would say, Lord have mercy.

Well, you know where that comes from.
