When people talk about dropping their nerd card, you know, where it's like,

this is the thing that is now going to solidify the fact that I'm a nerd and so I am going to do that right now if I haven't done it already

for people who've listened to the show even once really you know that I'm really into reptiles and amphibians and but maybe you didn't know what

at like the depths of my nerd-dom one of my favorite things to do in the summertime is the following.

There's a little area by our house, it's in the woods, and in the springtime it collects water from all of the melting the

thawing and the melting and it's called that's called a vernal pond

whenever whenever a pond appears just in the springtime.

And it's a very fertile environment

for amphibians, for frogies and toads and nutes,

in this case, to have some fun.

But my particular vernal pond,

it vanishes fairly early

because the rains subside and it's not that large of an area and so what I'd like to do because I'm such a good person is I'll take some of the

egg sacks that are in danger of drying out and I will put them in an aquarium.

Christians making a face. And I will, I'll grow them. I'll wait until they have, it's it's it's obviously fun for me to watch

and my neighbor has has grandkids that come over and they make and linda they have their

kids like to come over and William shout out.

He won't hear this maybe for many years.

Maybe one day he'll hear this.

They'll come over and the watch that the, you know, frogs growing from tadpoles lose it's such a fun process to
