1:04.4	You say that most presentations are boring and ineffective. Why is that?
1:10.7	Ha ha ha ha. are boring and ineffective. Why is that?
1:21.2	Sorry for laughing, but really, they are boring and they're ineffective.
1:26.1	And the main reason is it's the number one fear of the public.
1:33.3	The classic book of lists ranks public speaking as the number one fear.
1:36.7	Death is seventh on the list.
1:43.9	So in other words, most people would rather be dead and buried than have to give the speech. But if we put it to them that way, they'd probably be willing to get up to the front of the room.
1:50.7	Yeah, really.
1:52.1	And you say that 74% of Americans suffer from glossophobia, the fear of public speaking, which is just such a huge number.
2:00.2	Do most of those people just get the
2:02.4	typical butterflies? Or do they truly feel just paralyzed by fear? And are they amongst those
2:07.8	people that you say would rather be dead than have to speak? That's a great question because
2:12.7	there's some people who really are paralyzed and would rather die than have to speak. But for most people, it's just something, as you say, it's butterflies.
