Alright guys so today on the podcast we have Michael Franise

how you doing brother I'm good good so I want to talk to you about personal

development but before we get into that can you tell everyone like your quick story? Sure you know I come from Brooklyn

actually New York and my dad was at one time the under boss or one of the five

New York mafia families, Colombo family.

And very high profile figure, you know, always in trouble.

Eventually drew a 50 year prison sentence

and went off to serve that time in 1970.

And prior to that, I love my dad.

I mean, he was my idol.

But I was a pre-med student at Hofster University

when my dad went in.

And Joe Colombo, who was the boss of the family,

kind of took me under his wing,

started to meet a lot of my dad's friends,

and eventually got drawn into the life.

So in October of 1975 I became a made member, officially a made member of that life, and spent over 20 years in that life.

And became a major target of law enforcement.

I was arrested probably 18 times.

I was indicted seven times.

I had two federal racketeering cases, one brought on by Rudy Giuliani.

Eventually, took a plea to a 10-year prison sentence, a 15 million
