Dichord. He is the founder and chief technology officer of simulation startup

Dactyl, a Pittsburgh company that uses aerospace and Department of Defense technology

for modeling scenarios encountered during autonomous driving.

Beyond his work at his own company, Michael is well known in the industry.

He's a member of the

SAE's Committee on Autonomous Driving Validation and Verification. He is a member of

I tripele's AI and Autonomous Systems Policy Committee and he works with the U.S. Department of Transportation on its Voices

Autonomous Research Project.

But enough of his resume, what he might be most well known for, is being an outspoken critic of the way that

self-driving vehicles are being tested and deployed across the industry.

At a time when I think many companies believe their technology will be commercialized in the near term

over the next two to three years or so

Michael is concerned that the industry is on the verge of big problems and could cease to exist by 2030.

So that is a big bold statement.
