So traditionally during the bye week, we preview the basketball season. This one should be pretty interesting. And Dave's out of town, and we have someone who we know who knows more basketball than anyone else that we know by wide margins. So Matt is with us. How you doing? Good about yourself. basketball history, but that's just the era we're in. Right. That's just the times that we're in,

but Michigan got busy in the portal. I don't think that there has been a single incident in

the history of Michigan basketball where Michigan and Kentucky were going after the same player and Michigan got them. It is weird. We were talking about this on the drive up here today where like people, Michigan walked in on the axle and everyone was like, what are you doing here? Right. Yeah. And we're like, we are throwing around money. Welcome to the new world. Right. Yeah. Andaxil saw what danie molf was able to do

last year he's like maybe i can get out on some of that we'll talk about that a little bit later

but so they not only get him away from kentucky but they survive the NBA draft process for him

which is another interesting sort of milestone in college basketball is that like you know know, before NIL, before House, there's no way that he's back.

Yeah.

Because he could probably make more money, or at least equal money at Michigan this year.

Like, it's really kind of a free role for him.

We used to complain about this with B-Line guys because, like, Iggy would have to go to the league to make any money. And that was a guy who absolutely been more valuable today in college. And second round pick, you know, had G-League never really had much of an NBA career. But instead of being able to stick around in college for a long period of time, he had to go. Right. There's a lot of turnover, but also there's a lot of good players actually staying in college basketball.
