This week, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, we're excited to highlight some of the organizations

that our Dota Healing Hands Foundation has partnered with.

During our annual Global Convention in September, we had the incredible chance to sit down with Curtis Bennett,

president and CEO of Mentors International, a nonprofit whose mission

is to empower, train, and mentor the world's impoverished.

Curtis, thank you so much for sitting down with us today.

Could you tell us what Mentors International does and a little bit about how your microloan

system works?

Mentors International is a wonderful and prestigious organization that's been

around for 30 years. Our beginnings were in the Philippines and now we've expanded to seven

countries. And what we do is we provide to business owners who are in the most impoverished

areas of the world.

We help them put together either a business plan for their own personal business.

Most people in these impoverished countries don't want to work for someone else.

They want to start their own business.

They want to stand on their own two feet.

They want to do what they can do to make life better for them.

They want to get to a level of self-reliance.

And so we help them either create a business plan for their business, their own personal business, or we help them better develop the business plan that they have and maybe that

they've already put into place. And then we provide to them mentoring all throughout the whole

process, mentoring to the degree that we have mentors
