And what mending is is repairing or fixing something delicate.

So if anyone here plays tennis, you have to mend your nets.

And when you mend the nets, there needs to be a certain amount of tension in order for it to work.

And here at House Church we've been going through this relationship series and this is the last night of it.

And we've been talking a lot about boundaries, friendships,

marriage relationships, potential romantic relationships,

business relationships, we've been talking about a lot,

but one of the things that one of the high school girls brought up last week in our Q&A was the problem with tension in relationships and even the place that tension needs to have in relationships and so been thinking about it a lot and then as I read the last couple verses of Philemon, which is a book that we're in, I realize that what Paul is asking Phileiman to do

is to mend the tension properly between him and this other guy that wronged him

onissimus.

So that's what we're gonna talk about tonight.

Okay, so open up to Phileiman,

there's only one chapter,

and we're gonna look at verse 15

and go through the end of the verses. I believe the verses are on the

screen but if you have your Bibles I'm in the ESV version and it says for

this perhaps is why he was parted for from you for a while that you might

have him back forever. So that's verse 15. Paul is talking to Phi Lehman. He's

writing a letter to him and the whole story is about this guy onissimus

who is a slave of Phileemann who's a good guy, a leader in the Colosian church and this guy onissimus took something from Philemon possibly

did something wrong to Philemon in some way and because of that he ran away and

now somehow through a sovereign amount of events he ran into
