Summary

A preacher once said, we are always either about to to enter a storm, currently in a storm or leaving a storm. Which phase are you in?

We will learn what God tends to teach us in storms by continuing our series in the book of Matthew.

Hello, how's it going? So, Locanale and I are parents and that means we are constantly

0:09.5

thrown into these little storms. For example, we could be feeding kids

0:14.9

terraaki chicken like we did tonight,

0:16.4

and one kid could have a blowout, we call it,

0:20.4

which is like when their excrement comes out of their diaper and it gets on the chair

0:26.6

and gets on another kid's arm or something and those kind of moments happen very suddenly, don't they? We don't really plan for them, you don't really

0:36.4

know they're going to come, they just happen. And we have moments like that a lot. And you know what's

0:40.6

interesting about when Jesus came, he came in a certain time, he came to a certain place,

0:45.3

he came to Judea, he could have came to all kinds of different places, but according to prophecy,

0:50.7

according to the plan of God, the will of God, he came in a specific time and a specific place.

0:55.8

And in that place that he came to, there was a big freshwater lake called the Sea of

Galilee.

1:01.0

And the Sea of Galilee, as well as so many other things that Jesus talked about in places that Jesus went to teach us a lot about the world we live in today.

And I believe that it was totally planned for him to spend a lot of time and do ministry around the sea of Galilee because just looking at how

1:19.2

Storms take place at this place the Sea of Galilee can tell us a lot about the storms that take place inside of us.

1:25.8

So for example, the Sea of Galilee was very low in a basin in a bowl and had these mountains that surrounded it and those mountains

1:34.8

had cool wind come down the face of those mountains into meeting the warm water

1:41.6

warm air that hovered above the water.

1:44.0

And so storms would happen suddenly.

1:47.0

Cool air plus warm air equals storms, very quickly.

1:50.0

And so that's a lot like what happens with us. Humans are 80% water.

1:55.0

There's a lot of warm air inside of our lungs and when a cool rush of
