A lot of people ask, should I get some funding from a VC or an investor or something like that before I get started so I can blow up and take over the world.

We get into it in today's lesson.

All right, so should you get funding for your business

before you get started?

Now, there is no right or wrong answer

to this question, but there is an answer

that I would like to recommend to you,

one that I would 100% percent endorse and the short answer is no you should not go ahead and try to find

funding or try to get somebody to invest in your business idea before you get started and I want to explain

why I hold that position and why I recommend that is what you do with your

business. Before I get started and talk about why I recommend you shouldn't get funding and what to do instead.

Let's get into why this is even a topic. Why are people talking about getting funding?

Well, it's very simple.

In the last five to six years, it became very popular to start a startup and a lot of people are going the route of I have this great idea I'm going to go ahead and get some funding from some rich dude or some other do debt you know out there in you know silicon

valley and a lot has to do with TV and media you know a lot of people are

familiar with the show shock tank you know before that was the apprentice where they it was sort of you

know looking at somebody you know to become an apprentice of of Donald Trump

...
