All right, welcome to yet another episode of Golic and Smeddy.

We, we, I guess we get to keep doing it, right?

Our second episode.

First one seemed to go pretty well.

Let's hope the second one we can keep this thing going.

Fingers crossed, we have a lot of sports to get to, so we probably won't harp as much about

typewriters and shift stick in this episode.

So shift stick, my God, stick shift.

Oh, whatever.

I am amazed.

I knew that doesn't sound right.

I am amazed at the amount of reaction I got that you have never driven a stick shift in your life.

Your parents, I hope you discussed it with them.

They had to be sickened as well.

No, my parents, they know when they taught me to drive, keep it simple. Like, we're doing the automatic. Wow. All right. I would have moved right past it if you didn't butcher, you know, stick shift. I can't believe I just did that. You know, I re-listened to the beginning of last week's episode and was like, wow, I sound like a complete dumbass with like my typewriter takes. Next week I'll do better.

And I already started off on the wrong foot. It's amazing. The amount of people I had a discussion with just how better it was for us typewriter users when it went from a typewriter to an electric

typewriter, how much better it was. But then where

we are now, again, it was a lot of fun to talk about. We'll get into more instances of the age

gap difference. If you're listening for the first time, Jess Smetana, Mike Golick, Sr. here,

we're both Notre Dame grads. We just did it in different decades. By the time I

retired for my years in the NFL, Jess was just being born. So there is a generational gap.
