0:46.7	What prompted you to write this book, and who did you write it for?
0:51.7	That's such a good question.
0:53.6	I've never been asked that question before. You must be
0:56.1	creative. I just think of the same thing, Mom. It's a good one. I'm trying to figure out if I wrote it
1:03.5	to skewer my parents. So I wrote this because somewhere in my 20s, the person that I had been growing up evaporated,
1:21.7	and a person who started writing a lot of books and a syndicated comic strip and music emerged and I became
1:32.6	overcome often with these impulses to create. So if I'm being really honest with you,
1:39.9	I wanted to understand this experience that I would frequently have to create and that as I began to
1:47.3	get older and be blessed with really remarkable friendships with world-class creators,
1:53.7	they would describe to me too. And I was like, what is this thing? And that's what happened.
