So there's a topic I can't stop thinking about.

I talk about it with a lot of my friends.

The topic is maternal instinct and how I feel about those two words together and the way the narrative of maternal instinct has just completely infiltrated the way I think so many of us think about our role as a mom.

My heart's racing because maybe in some ways my body is telling me this is a hot topic.

This is going to get a strong reaction. This is something that is so built in to culture and in some

ways it's built in to the foundation of how the world works, but watch out.
