It is always a joyous thing to be on the right side of history, and it is always a good thing to defy expectations.

I'm speaking, of course, about Saturdays No King's protests. We know why we were there.

And time reports that, quote, organizers estimated some seven million people protested across the country in suburbs, towns, and most major cities.

Time also adds that there were solidarity marches in locations across Europe, including Paris, Berlin, and Madrid. So more than 7 million Americans in almost 3,000 locations

from the microscopic to the vast, got out, stood up, and with one voice said,

this is America. This is democracy in action. This is us exercising our First Amendment

right to free speech. We refuse to capitulate to a petty tyrant who wants to undo

250 years of our constitutional order.

But Saturday wasn't really about Donald at all, and that's probably why I drove him so crazy.

Well, that plus how many millions of people came out to object to everything the Trump regime is

doing to this country.

So let's get back to the expectations we defied on

Saturday. Because the right is so terrified of the righteousness of our cause, they had to mislead

Donald's followers into believing that those of us showing up to protest against Kings,

which, by the way, is about as an American thing as you can do, were pro-Hamas terrorists, America haters, violent criminals, and undocumented workers.

All of those are direct quotes from people like the grotesque speaker of the house,

Mike Johnson, the equally vile press secretary Caroline Levin.
