This week we're going to discuss Martinez, Pre-Vocation Exity, and a check-in on some New Year's

0:20.4

resolutions. Truthfully, I woke up hung over at 11 a.m. I never really do that. The latest I'll

0:27.4

sleep in when I'm hung over at 9 a.m. at the latest, but it was kind of a special one.

0:32.3

We went to bed at 3, which was probably on the early end of when I think we went to bed,

0:36.7

and we played drinking games, rung in the New Year all night, sang songs, and then played some more

0:41.7

drinking games. It was January 1st, my wife was still asleep, and as I laid in bed, I kind of was

0:47.7

just bored. Truthfully, we didn't have any service, we barely had any Wi-Fi, and so I didn't really

0:52.6

1:07.6

back at the list recently, I thought to myself, huh, I'm kind of glad I did that. When it comes

1:12.4

to New Year's resolutions, I do think that they're largely stupid and sometimes impulsive.

1:17.4

Everyone forgets about mid-January, and a lot of the goals that we create for ourselves are

1:22.0

based off just something that happened just before the New Year. So maybe we've been eating and

1:26.6

drinking throughout it, and all of a sudden you're doing a crash diet. Or maybe you just want to quit

1:31.3

your job, but it's because you just hate working over the holidays. I just feel like they're more

1:35.4

impulsive than what we give them credit for, and it just is a recipe for you just never really

1:40.0

fulfilling those New Year's resolutions. So I started thinking about why we actually make these.

1:44.8

Do we need to feel guilty for not seeing something through? Are you just so hung over tired or

1:49.6

dreading going back to work that it's a way to plan your life? I'm really not sure.

1:54.5

Truthfully, the entire time I've made New Year's resolutions in the past, I've really gone through
