0:00.0	Before I got married I remember people telling me because I had started a girl to find with Kristen and I was writing books and traveling around and speaking.
0:07.0	They were like, you know Bethany, I really think you might be called to a life of singleness and that God has just set you apart to serve him in this unique way and
0:15.1	they were sharing examples of like godly women who were single over you know the
0:20.1	generations who had just done amazing work for the Lord.
0:22.8	And deep in my heart I thought, like,
0:24.8	that is the last thing I want, that is the last thing I want to be called to.
0:29.3	Like I don't want to be called to a life of singleness,
0:31.5	like I want to serve the Lord, just not in this way and I remember like
0:35.3	hating when people told me that because I so much wanted to get married and I so much wanted to have
0:42.2	kids and for that to be a part of my story and I didn't want to think about like being 80 years old and having never gotten married and just like I imagined I would be this old lady like miserable rocking on a patio somewhere just like doing nothing I just had
0:56.0	this horrible perspective of what a life of singleness would be and obviously God did a great work in my heart during my singleness and really changed my perspective and my singleness actually became one of like the best times of my life.
1:09.2	I had so much fun, so much purpose, just so much joy, so much community.
1:13.2	It was absolutely amazing.
1:15.2	But one of the difficulties about being single sometimes
1:17.4	is figuring out how to really embrace biblical womanhood,
1:21.0	how to live out God's design for womanhood in that
1:25.2	particular season. You're not married, you don't have kids, but there's a lot in
1:29.4	scripture for women and a lot of it seems like it's directed towards married women or
1:34.9	women with children so how exactly can we live out biblical womanhood if we're not
1:39.8	in that season so this entire conversation is actually dedicated to our
1:44.2	single women, those desiring marriage but are not there yet or those single
1:48.4	again or those who know someone who's single who could really use this
