The American economy, the world's economy. I welcome Elizabeth Peake, writes a column at the Hill,

writes a column at Fox News, to observe something that is difficult

to say if you are actively watching the stock market. Things are good. Liz, that's a risky

statement. I know. I should never call attention to myself. But looking at the market, looking at

the expectations of the next year, the American economy looks extremely strong.

Are there missing pieces here, Liz, or are you also encouraged?

Well, you have to be encouraged.

Investors aren't stupid, and they have run the stock market up 27% this year and that's on top of a similar gain last

year. Obviously, what we're all concerned about is you can't have that go on forever. And I think

people are moderated their expectations for 25 simply because much of the expectation,

much of the optimism about a Trump presidency is already been factored into

the stock market in recent weeks. And I think that's sort of undeniable. But what is that founded on?

Why are people so bullish going into 25 and bullish about the Trump economy, number one, consumer optimism.

And we've talked about this before.

There has never been enough attention paid to the fact that Donald Trump brought consumer

sentiment to a very high level during his four years in the Oval Office.

And he's done so even again now.

It has rebounded to the highest level since I think April in recent weeks.

My guess is that'll continue.
