2:23.4 | a friend of conservatives across the board, a long record of conservatism was considered the leading candidate, and my view still is. |
2:35.4 | There's a multi-billionaire by the name of Peter Teal, who's getting involved in these primaries with certain advisors, |
2:45.4 | and he decided he wanted JD Vance, his former junior partner, and multi-millionaire financial investor. |
2:57.4 | There comes across, you know, trying to be some kind of a goober, but he is what he is, that he wanted to install him in the Senate as the nominee of the Republican party in Ohio. |
3:11.4 | So, as this typical of heightened primary battles, different endorsers line up behind different candidates. |
3:21.4 | Behind Josh Mandel, early on, me, I endorsed him, I get nothing out of it, I endorsed him because I believe in him. |
3:35.4 | And we've got to bring solid conservatives into the Senate, especially if they're running as Republicans, where else we're going to find them. |
3:47.4 | And primary time is the time to do it. |
3:51.4 | Ted Cruz endorsed him, Mike Lee endorsed him, General Mike Flynn endorsed him, most large evangelical groups, and pro-life groups endorsed him. |
4:05.4 | And then recently, I think it was last week, President Trump endorsed JD Vance. |
4:13.4 | Fair enough. It's a free country, people shouldn't, dors, whomever they wish to endorse, for whatever reason they have, and people have given their various reasons. |
4:25.4 | Peter Tiel then immediately turned around and put another $3.5 million into a political action committee he set up to fund JD Vance's campaign as he runs as the little guy for the little guy. |
4:41.4 | Of course, he's a multi-millionaire, and I have no problem with that, by the way. |
4:45.4 | He'd be a multi-millionaire and be for the little guy, but he really doesn't focus on the fact that he's been a very successful capitalist, working with Peter Tiel, spending a great deal of his life living in San Francisco, voting against Donald Trump against him in 2016 for the never-Trumper candidate. |
