Hello everyone and welcome to police off the cuff real crime stories.

I'm your host, retired NYPD homicide sergeant Bill Cannon, 27-year veteran of the

NYPD. Folks, interesting, interesting things occurring in this case. Of course, we're all hearing

about that the shooter apparently took a Greyhound bus from Atlanta on November 24th into New York City.

The police department is not releasing what time he arrived,

and of course the bus would have arrived at the Port Authority Terminal on 42nd Street.

So when we think of that, there's more, even more and more

investigative checklist things that the detectives must do, and we'll get into that a little bit

later. Also, it came from Atlanta, Georgia. Does that mean that the shooter is from Atlanta, Georgia?

Or did he just use that city to depart from on his way to New York on this mission he was on?

There's no doubt this was a mission that he was stalking the CEO of United Healthcare, Brian Thompson.

So we have many, many, many questions.

The firearm used, the why, you know, the words that were written on the side of the spent shells

that were found on the scene by the NYPD crime scene unit.

All of these give us pause.

Now we can tell that the New York media is already starting to say,

why is it taking so long?

This is how spoiled the media is in this town.

They expect, like the people do in this city, immediate gratification, immediate results.

This is a very difficult investigation. But the NYPD is on it. They are 100% on it.

And there will be an arrest in this.
