You know, folks, a lot of twists and turns. The NYPD is doing a fantastic job on this case.

The big sort of news today was this picture right here that you're seeing. And it turns out that he checked into

a hostel on West 103rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side using fake ID

from New Jersey to book a room.

Now, if you're not familiar with youth hostels,

they're usually for students and young people

that are visiting New York City and other cities

from other countries because they need a relatively

inexpensive place to stay.

So this individual who right now is unnamed, this is the best picture they have of him

right now where he is actually showing his face.

And we get a pretty good idea of what he looks like.

A, we know right away.

He's a male white, right?

He's got very prominent features.

He's got sort of a big nose.

He's got a pointed jaw.

He's got, you know, narrow cheekbones.

So if NYPD department sketch artists wanted to draw a sketch from this, it would be very doable.

However, it may not be good enough for facial recognition technology. But now we have some, remember we talked about reverse engineering this investigation?
