Hey, beauties, I am so excited for our podcast today. I have a stunning

guest. I am excited to share with you. Her name is Latham Thomas. She is the

best-selling author of Mama Glow, a hip guide to a fabulous

and abundant pregnancy. Love the title. She's also a lifestyle maven and birth dula who

transforms how women give birth and become the best. and today. Hi, Kimberly, thank you for having me. I'm so interested in your story. You're doing

all kinds of amazing work with women. You've written books. You're a big proponent of

women's power and empowerment. you're a birth dula.

So can you just tell us a little bit how you got interested? I see here you had a child in 2003.

How did you go? How did you go? how did you go from becoming a mother to becoming a dula, first of all?

Well, I think it's really interesting because I had my son now, he's 15 and when I was pregnant with him I was living in New York City where we still live and having been from California I was really used to everything being like, you know, hippie and natural and beautiful and

we're like 30 years ahead in wellness in California than any other part of the country.

So all the things that are popular here now we were like doing years ago. So a lot of the things that I really desired for my pregnancy, I knew where to get in California, but I didn't really know in New York, right?

So it was like navigating the space of like wellness

when there wasn't really even a,

there wasn't even, I think, a blanket term for it at the time.

And so I was looking for practitioners products and

services and I started to vet everything for its safety and whether or not it
