Hello my friends and welcome to the morning. I hope you're doing well out there in this

crazy world. But remember, no matter how crazy the world seems, we still have a powerful

God who is fully in control of what's going on. He is our Savior, He is our King, and

none of this is taking Him by surprise. We need to rest in that truth today as we endeavor

to align our minds with His truth so that we can live this day in a way that brings

Him glory. Alright friends, let's dive into the scriptures again. This is Acts chapter

14. We're looking at verses 8 through 18. And we're following along in the story of

the missionary journeys of two men, Paul, the Apostle, and his friend Bartobus. And they're

going throughout the regions of Greece and Macedonia, all those areas, and they are telling

the good news about Jesus. And God is working in mighty ways.

The verse 8 says, Now at Lystra, there was a man sitting who could not use his feet.

He was crippled from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul speaking. And Paul,

looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be made well, said in a loud

voice, stand upright on your feet. And he sprang up and began walking. And when the

crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, the

gods have come down to us in the likeness of men.

Bartobus, they called Zeus and Paul hermys because he was the chief speaker. And the priest

of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance of the city, brought oxen and garlands to the

gates and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. But when the Apostles Bartobus and

Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out,

men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of light nature with you, and we're

bringing you good news that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who
