Alright let's dive in to the Book of Acts chapter 14 again and I have to tell you right

up front this is a passage that just has me shaking my head and disbelief how committed

these guys Paul and Barnabas were at passing the message along about Jesus and encouraging

others who had received it.

Let's read we are in the Book of Acts chapter 14 beginning in verse 19.

It says but Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and having persuaded the crowds they stoned

Paul and dragged him out of the city supposing that he was dead.

Now let's pause for a moment.

In the previous episode of The Morning Mindset we read about what was going on in the town

of Lystra which is where Paul and Barnabas are and great things are happening there.

People are coming to faith but they're confused they thought Paul and Barnabas were Hermes

and Zeus some of the Greek gods and in Antioch and Iconium which are towns they had been

in already they had been opposed rather than welcomed with open arms and now people
