Laughter is one of the best ways to enjoy your marriage and we want to encourage

you to find some reasons to enjoy life with your spouse. I'm John Fuller in the studio with

Greg and Aaron Smalley who lead our marriage department here and Dina and I love to

laugh. My goal is to get her to laugh at least once every day. And so part of the routine now is we watch funny videos at night. We watch some video short for five or ten minutes just to make sure that we're connecting over laughter.

Greg, how has laughter been a part of your relationship with Aaron?

Yeah, I love the old quote, laughter's the shortest distance between two people.

And I think that's so true because what laughter does for Aaron and I

is that it does, it just draws us closer and closer and closer together.

It just feels safe, it feels fun, it feels fresh.

There's something so comforting when we are just laughing

and being playful that it's so easy than to lean in with each other. I think it anchors

memories like when when we laugh about something it's way easier for me to

recall that this thing happened.

We just were on a little family vacation and we were on a beach.

And all kinds of crazy things happened.

There was all the seaweed and these flies

were getting mobbed by all these flies were cracking up about just going what is

going on, the umbrella gets swept up by wind and kind of crashes down.

It was like over the top comedic.

But I mean that's the stuff that I remember.

Because we're just laughing about them going,

how does this stuff keep happening to us?
