Hello and welcome to the Chris Terrell podcast.

0:13.5

My name is Chris Terrell and welcome to the first episode of Maintenance Mondays.

This podcast, Maintenance Mondays, is going to be designed for those of you that are approaching

0:23.9

or who are in the maintenance phase of weight loss.

0:28.2

I wanted to create a resource that provides information for those of us that are

0:31.7

continuing the journey.

0:32.7

Because when you slide into maintenance, when you get there there you probably have had the same realization that

0:38.4

I did which is that you've just found the bottom of another mountain on the other side you know the

0:44.9

peak of one mountain is the base of the next one it seems and you realize that your journey is

0:50.8

1:13.9

work with as clients. I've even taken on a few who are approaching or who are in maintenance

1:19.3

1:25.5

concept of reverse dieting. This is what I did. When I hit my

1:30.8

target weight, I knew that I wasn't going to keep eating at a caloric deficit. All right, that was the

1:37.2

plan. But I didn't just immediately the next day just start adding food back in. I was very careful

1:41.8

like, okay, let's be methodical about this. I've been researching

1:46.2

reverse dieting for now about a year and I felt like I'd really wrap my head around it. I had

1:52.2

practiced with multiple maintenance breaks transitioning into maintenance and out of maintenance.

1:57.2

And so I was like, I need to be methodical about it though. I wasn wasn't tracking when I hit my goal weight because I could pretty much intuitively eat at a deficit
