This week, we have a special guest, I think, maybe our fifth guest ever in the 17-year

history of manager tools, which tells you something about how much we respect admire

and like Maggie Tucker, who is about to retire.

Maggie has been a client of ours for a number of years.

We became friends when she shared with me about her ability to gain financial independence.

And she has a podcast called Friends on Fire.

Fire is an acronym, meaning financial independence retire early.

And she said something to me the other day that was just astounding.

And I should have known it.

And of course, I didn't.

That's what smart people who are smarter than me are always telling me stuff I should

have known.

And she said, financial security makes you a better employee.

And it just was like my head went boom.

So we're going to spend some time talking about that because manager tools wants you to

have great relationships with your people.

And we want your people to be fully productive.

And financial concerns and worries and debt and all those other things take away from that.

And while we certainly wouldn't suggest that managers should be managing the personal lives

of their directs, you can set an example, you can have communications.

And Maggie's been talking about this for years.
