Madeline, how are you observing this International Women's Day?

I just started off the morning listening to a really well-known woman.

Mandy Moore has a new single out. So I listen to that, and that's pretty much all I've done so far,

and that's probably all I will do.

So the thought behind this episode is basically that there are so many heavy things happening in

the news that we discuss here every single day that as spring is arriving in different parts of

the country, certainly here in Washington, DC, where it was 80 degrees yesterday.

It feels sort of like I saw BuzzFeed article yesterday, 35 things that happened before the pandemic,

and it was this roundup of things that happened like in December and January of 2020, December 2019,

in January 2020. And it kind of, I say this seriously, it kind of blew my mind.

It was the woman who was singing in the tube in London, shallow, and it feels so,

it doesn't not just feel so different, it feels just such an absolutely different time in

our lives and then the country, and it sort of made me
