DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program has sort of met its end.

According to End Gagit, in six months the government will begin phasing out protections for

undocumented immigrants that came to the US as children, though the current

occupant of the White House says that that six-month window gives Congress

time to do something for the roughly 800,000 people

directly affected. Still, the administration didn't have to set the six month clock.

Doing so has elicited reaction from a number of leaders in tech, including Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Engadgett says the CEO reached out to Apple employees via email on Tuesday expressing disappointment in the administration's decision.

Referring to Dreamers who had reached out to him, Cook wrote,

They helped customers in our retail stores.

They engineer the products people love and they're building Apple's future as part of our

R&D teams.

They contribute to our company, our economy, and our communities just as much as you

and I do.

Their dreams are our dreams.

Cook said Apple is working with affected Apple employees to provide support and advice from immigration experts according to N-Gadget.

The full email also had Cook pledging to broach the subject with lawmakers.
