Some people are upset that Tim Cook keeps talking about stuff besides Apple. I miss when he didn't have to.

Things did not go quite as expected last week. On Thursday it was thought that the current

occupant of the White House was going to end the deferred action for childhood arrivals or DACA program on Friday.

Now it looks like he'll do that today, though we won't know for sure until he does or doesn't.

The people directly affected, often referred to as dreamers,

are people who were brought to this country as children

by parents who were undocumented immigrants.

You want to make the business case

for allowing the program to continue. According to a letter signed

last week by Apple CEO Tim Cook and the leaders of over 300 other companies,

all DACA recipients grew up in America, registered with our government, submitted to

extensive background checks, and are diligently giving back to our communities and paying income

taxes.

More than 97% are in school or in the workforce.

At least 72% of the top 25 Fortune 500 companies count DACA recipients among their employees.
