Apple reports revenue and earnings

for the second quarter of fiscal year 2017 tomorrow

and Oppenheimer and Company analyst Andrew Yerkewitz just doesn't care.

It's not that he's not interested in Apple. Rather, Barron says the analyst saying

that everyone will be focusing on the next iPhone, so he's going to go ahead and do that now.

The way Erkel sees that, iPhone pretty much has to make with the 3D

sensing or depth sensing. Simply put, writes the analyst, it's the one technology

left in the phone to drive real innovation but also lays the groundwork for an

augmented reality headset. That said even if the next flagship iPhone hits with

3D sensing the tech itself may take a while to catch on.

Quoting his note, but don't get too excited for depth sensing,

it may take longer than you think to really take off.

The major human interface change change such as touch display viewed

under the context of smartphone is the pocket PC is a mere replacement of
