Apple and Samsung to meet next month a new content rumor for Apple TV and the New York Times targets Apple

Apple and Samsung have a date in late May.

Apple Insider says Judge Lucy Coe has set court-m moderated settlement talks between the two companies

for May 21st and 22nd in San Francisco.

The hope is that the two companies will be able to settle some of the differences that have led

to over 50 legal battles around the globe.

Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Sparrow, who will oversee the talks, has asked both companies

to issue statements by midweek next week with a candid evaluation of the party's likelihood

of prevailing on the claims and defenses.

Fospatins, Florian Mueller says that that is wishful thinking because

seriously which of these two companies is likely to say,

you know what, our company companies arguments are without merit.

Still, it's not completely unreasonable to think that something might come from the talks,

with Apple CEO Tim Cook saying on last week's earnings call that he hates litigation and when
