(1:30) Vinnie explains how it originated, and Gina (and Anna) is none too pleased. (5:00) The conversation then switches to additional information about sugar that Gina hadn't realized. (5:50) She mentions what happens to your bowels when too much sugar is consumed, including fructose and both natural and artificial sweeteners. (6:30) Vinnie mentions how they are poison to the system, similar to how alcohol works; he explains. (8:00) Vinnie also tells Gina how the consumption of sugar since the 1800s has increased. (9:00) They also chat about how this has led to more recent developments of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). He explains what A1C is, how it works, and how the numbers have ultimately been altered, which is basically lowering the bar. He gives reasons why this doesn't work, and how it allows for "stacking" medications. Gina asks what a high A1C for an extended period of time will do.
