It was supposed to be a night of beers, bowling, and fun.

But for Eric Miller, the night of November 15, 2000, would mark the beginning of a tragic turn.

Eric had a brilliant mind and a big heart and put both to good use working as a pediatric AIDS researcher.

Professionally, he was respected by his colleagues. At home,

he was a loving husband and a devoted father to a baby girl that he and his wife, Anne, had welcomed

that January. It should have been a joyous year for the Miller family. However, the happy

milestones were overshadowed by a mysterious illness that had

been plaguing Eric. During the November 15th outing, Eric consumed a beer and noticed an odd taste.

Not long after, he became violently ill. Doctors were puzzled by Eric's condition. The sickness was both mysterious and relentless.

Over time, Eric's health deteriorated, and on December 2nd, he succumbed to his painful condition.

Throughout it all, one person stayed by his side, his wife, Anne. But underneath the facade of a grieving widow was a sinister

Anne was beautiful, intelligent, and driven in her own right, working as a chemist at a large pharmaceutical company.

In a modest home, the millers lived comfortably, not lavishly, but contentment was not enough for Anne.

She desired more money, more excitement, and attention from other men.

Over time, that dissatisfaction brewed into something deadly,
