And we are once again blessed and obsessed on this channel because I am speaking to yet another one of my favorite YouTubers.

Like, we have been eating these past several weeks on the channel.

And I'm really, really excited to talk to yet another woman who

I think is really shaping and thinking about how

we analyze media and culture and politics in the world

we live in in such an interesting and accessible way.

I've been binging her videos for a very long time.

And some of you may be familiar with her.

I'm sure we'll have many of the stands in the comments.

But she is someone that I wanted to speak to not only because I love what she has to say,

particularly about the media that we consume.

We did a few videos in the run-up to the Oscars.

And of course, you know, pop culture is something

we do like to think about quite a bit on this channel.

But especially when it comes time for things

like the faux meritocracy of award season,

I think it's all the more important to be extremely

critical of not only how we think of the culture,

but how we think of success, how we think of who

deserves the accolades were given,

who's even in the room to be considered, and what this cultural display of meritocracy implies
