And when you talk about women and money as much as we do on this channel, it is pretty inevitable that you're going to run into the subject of MLMs, which is something that we've covered quite a bit on this channel, but is always something worth diving back into

given their continued relevance and influence. And in many cases, disastrous results for an

increasing number of women. And of course, as we saw last year with the crypto meltdown,

pyramid schemes are definitely not something that are limited to women in scope, but they are

definitely something that will often target and

prey on women. And it's not just a financial praying, it's also a social one. MLMs don't

just target women who are in financially precarious positions and have limited options for employment,

although they do. They also entangle themselves in women's social lives and self-perception

in such a way that even though

MLMs are a losing proposition for the majority of people who engage in them, it is incredibly

difficult to disentangle yourself. But although most women who participate in an MLM are going to,

in the best case, break even, but more often than not lose money in the long term, there are a few winners.

And it is those winners who keep people locked into the idea that they too could one day succeed.

My guest today is someone who was one of those winners.

She made millions of dollars from her time in the MLM world.

And now she has an upcoming book all on the subject, both in terms of the behind the scenes reality of the industry,

but also what it means to leave it. And the disastrous impacts that being a part of one of these

schemes can have on the women who belong to them. I'm very grateful to my guest today for coming
